SALKO
FARM & STABLE WINTER RIDING ACADEMY 2012 Our Winter Riding Academy at Salko Farm is a fabulous experience for our
riders. It will be a five day camp running Wednesday, December 26 – Friday, December 28. The hours
will be 9 – 1:30. The week will be an intensive five-day immersion in horses and will follow the same format as our
ever popular Summer Riding Academy. You can sign up for 1, 2, 3, 4 or all 5 days. Our goal is to enrich each person's
riding ability, knowledge and understanding of horses and their care. Each day will provide a balance between time on horses,
stable management, horse care in the barn and fun!! The program is very personalized and thus keeps the student to staff ratio
quite low. The first day the riders will be evaluated and placed with other riders of their ability. The first three days
will be intensive riding lessons. The last day will be Show Day, when everyone will receive ribbons and experience the thrill
and excitement of a horse show! This new winter curriculum will blend the wonderful curriculum of our Summer Riding Academy
with new winter activities which will become another tradition at Salko Farm. It will combine what everyone
loves about Salko Farm -- our fabulous instructors, our beloved horses, our spectacular location and our old fashioned farm atmosphere.
